How much does a hair transplant in Turkey cost in 2026?

At Turkey Hair Transplant Antalya, an all-inclusive hair transplant costs €1,599 to €6,000 for FUE, €1,690 to €6,400 for DHI and €1,999 to €6,400 for Sapphire FUE in 2026, roughly £1,340 to £5,350. Where you fall in that range depends on your graft count and package, and the price is confirmed in writing after a doctor reviews your photos.

Key takeaways

  • Prices are ranges, not “from” prices: your figure depends on how many grafts you need, the technique and the package you choose.
  • Every package covers the surgery, local anaesthesia and sedation, hotel, VIP transfers, medication, shampoo and lotion, and 12 months of follow-up.
  • Budget separately for flights, travel insurance that covers elective surgery, time off work and any long-term hair loss medication.
  • You can get a written plan and price with no deposit by sending four photos on WhatsApp.
  • A lower price is only good value if the doctor you meet plans and performs the surgical steps, as UK and Turkish surgeons’ associations recommend.

How much does a hair transplant in Turkey cost in 2026?

For a scalp transplant at our Antalya clinic, expect to pay €1,599 to €6,400 depending on technique, graft count and package. Beard, eyebrow and women’s procedures have their own ranges, shown below.

We publish ranges because two people asking for “a hair transplant” can need very different amounts of work: filling a receding hairline takes far fewer grafts than restoring the front, top and crown. The table shows our 2026 package prices in euros, with an approximate sterling figure so UK readers can compare.

Treatment Price range (EUR) Approx. in GBP
FUE hair transplant €1,599 to €6,000 £1,340 to £5,010
DHI hair transplant €1,690 to €6,400 £1,410 to £5,350
Sapphire FUE €1,999 to €6,400 £1,670 to £5,350
Beard transplant €1,380 to €3,680 £1,150 to £3,080
Eyebrow transplant €1,100 to €3,220 £920 to £2,690
Women’s hair transplant €2,300 to €5,060 £1,920 to £4,230

Sterling figures use the European Central Bank reference rate of 29 October 2026 (€1 = £0.83578), rounded to the nearest £10. Our prices are set in euros, so the pound amount you pay will move with the exchange rate.

The fastest way to see where you sit is the graft and price estimator on our home page. Your actual price comes in writing once a doctor has looked at your photos.

What is included in an all-inclusive package?

Both of our packages include the surgery itself and the practical parts of the trip, so the price you are quoted covers more than the operating day. The Premium package adds treatments, a longer hotel stay and a longer follow-up period.

Included Standard Premium
Surgery with local anaesthesia and sedation Yes Yes
Hotel 3 to 4 nights 5-star, 5 to 6 nights
VIP airport and clinic transfers Yes Yes
Medication, shampoo and lotion Yes Yes
PRP No Yes
Vitamin kit No Yes
Personal assistant No Yes
Mesotherapy or Oxycure No Yes
Follow-up 12 months 18 months

A typical trip runs over three days. On day 1 you arrive, meet the doctor for your consultation and agree the hairline drawing together. Day 2 is the procedure. On day 3 you come back for a check-up and your first wash, then fly home. The team speaks seven languages, including English, so you can ask questions at every stage.

Flights and travel insurance are not on the package list. When you compare clinics, check quotes line by line: hotel nights, transfers, medication and follow-up all have a real value, and leaving them out makes a quote look cheaper than it is.

Why is a hair transplant cheaper in Turkey than in the UK?

Mostly because it costs less to run a clinic in Turkey: salaries, rent and day-to-day overheads are generally lower than in the UK, and a large, competitive sector has grown up around overseas patients. The operation itself is the same kind of surgery.

The NHS acknowledges that surgery abroad may cost less, but warns that you need to weigh any saving against the risks, because safety standards can be lower and follow-up may not be as easy to arrange. A lower price is a genuine benefit when the clinical standards are the same; it is a false economy when the saving comes from cutting clinical corners.

When you compare a Turkish package with a UK quote, check that you are comparing like with like:

  • The same graft number for the same areas, agreed after a doctor has assessed your hair.
  • The same technique, for example FUE against FUE, not FUE against DHI.
  • Who does the surgical steps: a doctor, or technicians.
  • What is included: hotel, transfers, medication, aftercare products and how many months of follow-up.
  • Where follow-up happens: in person near home, or remotely with photo reviews.

Our longer guide to choosing between Turkey and the UK covers regulation, aftercare and complications in more detail.

Does the number of grafts change the price?

Yes. The graft count is the biggest single factor in where your price sits within the range, because more grafts mean a longer operation, more team time and more materials. Package choice is the second factor.

How many grafts you need depends on the size of the area you want to cover, the density you are aiming for and, crucially, how much donor hair you have at the back and sides of your head. Donor hair is finite. A 2026 review in Frontiers in Medicine notes that many authors recommend limiting extraction to 10% to 20% of the donor area’s follicular unit density in one session, and that over-harvesting leaves limited options to repair it later.

That has a direct bearing on price. A quote built around a very large graft number is not automatically better value, because the same review lists sessions of more than 4,000 grafts among the risk factors for folliculitis, an inflammation of the hair follicles. A good plan uses the grafts you need now and keeps some donor hair in reserve in case your hair loss progresses.

Our guide on how many grafts you need explains typical numbers for each stage of hair loss. For a quick figure, use the estimator, then send photos for a doctor’s assessment.

What extra costs should UK patients budget for?

Plan for flights, suitable insurance, time off work and any ongoing medication. None of these are in the package price, and some can add up.

Is a cheaper hair transplant a riskier one?

Not automatically, but the lowest prices are often where corners get cut, most commonly by handing surgical steps to technicians. The safer test is not the price but who operates, how the clinic plans your surgery and what happens if something goes wrong.

The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery reports that 59% of its members said there are black-market hair transplant clinics in their cities, up from 51% in 2021, and describes these as places where technicians illegally perform hair transplant surgery. Its members also reported that the average share of repair cases linked to a previous black-market transplant was 10%, up from 6%.

In December 2023, four surgical associations from the UK and Turkey (BAHRS, BAAPS, BAPRAS and TSPRAS) published minimum guidelines for UK patients considering hair transplant surgery in Turkey. They say patients should meet the doctor who will operate, should have time to consider the recommendation and consent form before paying, should be told if a technician will make incisions or implant grafts, and should be able to rely on the clinic to manage complications. They add that complications are reduced when the surgical steps are performed by a doctor.

Our clinic follows these guidelines: you meet the operating doctor, the doctor performs the surgical steps, and you have time to review your plan before you pay. You can read more about how we write and check our information in our editorial policy.

Serious complications are uncommon when surgery is done by experienced teams; a 2024 scoping review concluded that serious complications associated with hair restoration surgery are rare in the hands of experienced providers. That is why “who is operating?” matters more than a few hundred euros either way. For a full checklist, see is a hair transplant in Turkey safe?

How do I get an exact price?

Send four photos of your head on WhatsApp: front, top, crown and back. A doctor reviews them and you receive a written plan with your graft estimate, technique and price. There is no deposit to get a plan.

You can message the UK WhatsApp number, +44 7988 487 251, or use our contact page. Include the crown even if your hairline is the main worry: the doctor needs to see the whole pattern of loss and your donor area.

Frequently asked questions

Do I pay in euros or pounds?

Our prices are set in euros. If you pay in pounds, the amount depends on the exchange rate on the day. As a guide, at the European Central Bank rate of 29 October 2026, our scalp packages of €1,599 to €6,400 were roughly £1,340 to £5,350. Check how your bank or card converts currency, because some add fees on top of the rate.

Do I need to pay a deposit to get a quote?

No. You send four photos on WhatsApp (front, top, crown and back), a doctor reviews them, and you receive a written plan and price. There is no deposit to get that plan, and you have time to read it, ask questions and compare it with other quotes before you decide whether to book.

How long do I need to stay in Antalya?

The core trip is three days. Day 1 is arrival, your consultation and the hairline drawing with the doctor. Day 2 is the procedure. Day 3 is a check-up and your first wash, and then you fly home. The Standard package includes 3 to 4 hotel nights and Premium includes 5 to 6 nights in a 5-star hotel.

Are beard, eyebrow and women’s transplants priced differently?

Yes, because the areas and graft numbers differ. Our 2026 ranges are €1,380 to €3,680 for a beard transplant, €1,100 to €3,220 for eyebrows and €2,300 to €5,060 for women’s hair transplants. As with scalp procedures, your price is confirmed in writing after a doctor has assessed your photos.

Does travel insurance cover a hair transplant in Turkey?

Usually not. The Foreign Office says standard travel insurance does not normally cover you if you travel abroad for elective surgery, and complications are a common exclusion. Look for a specialist policy that covers the procedure and its complications, read the small print, and ask the clinic how it handles complications both during your stay and after you fly home.
